The Hamilton Code Clubs are currently being delivered, in schools across Hamilton, to students in grades 4-8. The clubs are run by volunteer mentors whose goal is to teach coding in a fun hands-on environment.  There are many benefits your students can gain from learning software programming. Here are just a few of many:

  • Encourages students to step out of their comfort zones.
  • Teaches the lesson of learning from mistakes, and that making them is all part of the process.
  • Enhances problem solving skills.
  • Enhances creativity.
  • Teaches the importance of math and literacy outside of the classroom.
  • Prepares students for possible career paths.
