The ArcelorMittal Dofasco (AMD) S.T.E.M. Centre for Exploration and Discovery (CED) is a facility that offers hands-on tech activities, allowing learns or all ages to explore and develop an understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, advanced manufacturing, as well as the viable educational and career pathways this booming industry has to offer.

We are pleased to have partnered with like-minded organizations that provide evening and weekend workshops as well as summer programming in our S.T.E.M. center**. If you are a parent, please consider registering your child in one of these programs. This is a great opportunity for them to continue to build their tech knowledge and practical application skills!

Join Elm Programming Sprints where an introduction will be given to graphics and animations through four quick 2-hour lessons! Students do not need to have any prior experience of knowledge with programming or computer science. The diverse team of instructors and helpers will be there to guide them through a variety of fun activities where they learn to draw shapes and make them move on the screen. The best learning takes place over time and with lots of practice, so Kids Code Jeunesse(KCJ) has designed a week-long workshop series where kids can refine their creative skills as they progress through multiple workshops with the same group and instructor.
